Dr.
Necati Aydin is the Director of Neuroeconomics and Well-being Studies (NWS)
under CEFA. He received his bachelor's degree in Public Finance, master's
degree in International Economics, and doctoral degrees in both Education
and Economics. He has been working as a researcher since 2002. He has
conducted research in variety of topics including local and state government
budget analysis, economic impact studies, tourism, higher education, virtual
education, information technology, Medicaid, and more recently happiness.
Dr. Aydin's doctoral thesis is published
and available on Amazon under the following title: Women
and Information Technology: An Economic Perspective.
Dr. Aydin has taught many courses at
Florida
A & M
University
as an Adjunct Professor of Economics, including the Introduction to
Econometrics, Public Finance, Principle of Economics I & II, Labor
Economics, International Trade, Wage and Salary Administration, Comparative
Economic Systems, Managerial Economics, and History of Economic Thought.
Dr.Aydin also works for Florida TaxWatch as Senior Research Analyst drafting
grant proposals, conducting research, performing analyses and working on the
publication for various projects.
Dr. Aydin has written several articles and book chapters on
happiness in Turkish and English. With several scholars from
Europe
, Dr. Aydin is currently working on a book project related to the ethos of
modern science and technology. He is also working on another book project
titled as “A Happiness Path for Everybody”. Dr. Aydin is married with
five children.
